Every new Ziptax account is automatically enrolled in our Starter Plan. This free plan includes 100 API calls per month, which you can use to test the API, validate your workflows, and see how Ziptax fits your business before upgrading to a paid option — no credit card required!

Once you’ve tried the API and understand your expected usage, you can select the plan that fits your needs. Higher-tier plans (like Premium) unlock additional API requests and features — such as product level tax rules, Canadian rate coverage, sales tax holidays, and detailed API logs.

Yes, absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime directly inside your Ziptax dashboard. Just go to the Billing section of your account and switch plans with a single click. There’s no need to contact our team or wait for support; you’re fully in control of your subscription.

Ziptax offers both monthly and annual billing options.

• Monthly billing lets you pay as you go with maximum flexibility.
• Annual billing is paid upfront for the full year and includes up to 15% savings compared to paying monthly.

Annual plans are especially helpful for businesses with seasonal demand — you get predictable pricing and a lower effective cost while still being able to use more API calls during peak seasons.

When you reach your 100 free API calls, you’ll receive an automatic notification prompting you to choose a paid plan so you can continue using the API.
